Job summary

Focus Resourcing Limited is recruiting an IT Field Technician for a national IT Service Provider. You’ll be based around Worcester/Gloucester and attend customer sites regionally to health-check on-site tech, diagnose and resolve issues related to EPOS, business systems and back-office servers.

Role involves significant regional travel with full expenses and accommodation provided. You’ll work 40 hours per week, with shifts including nights (20:00-08:00) on a 1-in-4 on-call pattern; overtime

Qualifications

• Experience in IT maintenance and fault diagnosis across hardware, networks and systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication with customers, stakeholders and third parties.
• Flexible hours and locations in a regional travel role.
• Full clean driving licence.
• DBS check requested.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites to diagnose and resolve EPOS, network and business system issues.
• Capture photographic evidence and compile clear, actionable reports.
• Coordinate fixes by liaising with management, IT providers and third parties.
• Mediate IT solutions between franchisees, service desks and IT contractors.
• Ensure accurate stock tracking and report completion for smooth operations.
• Keep stakeholders informed and updated at all times.

Job description

Our outstanding and successful client, a national IT Service Provider who support some of the biggest household names in the UK are looking to recruit an experienced IT Field Technician to join them on a permanent basis.

You will be based in the Worcester / Gloucester area and will attend customer sites in the region to health-check customer tech, diagnose and resolve technical issues relating to customers on-site technology, including EPOS, business systems, and back-office servers.

You'll be the bridge between tech issues and business success - making a tangible difference for customers!

Location: Gloucester (on-site visits + remote reporting)
Travel: Significant regional travel with some overnight stays (full expenses and accommodation provided)
Company Van: Van + fuel card provided (full, clean manual UK Licence required to be considered for this role).
Hours:

Hours: Monday to Friday 40hrs / week. Core hours - 09:00 - 17:00 or 12:00 - 20:00 with 30 mins lunch.

Also requires nights, which is 20:00 - 08:00, the nights consist of 7 nights a week, working 1 week in 4, on call out. Additional payment is made for working this shift and if you are called out.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Excellent experience in IT maintenance and fault diagnosis, including hardware, networks, and systems


• Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, stakeholders and third parties.


• High degree of flexibility in terms of hours of work and location.


• High level of health, safety and environmental compliance


• Full clean driving license.


• Clean DBS required.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

Salary will be 26,437 plus lots of overtime. You will get excellent benefits package including 23 days holiday per annum + bank, private healthcare provided through BUPA, death in service (4 x salary), group income protection, company pension.
