Job Opportunity: IT Engineer (Contract)

We are recruiting for an IT Engineer on a contract basis to work for a leading Government organisation based in Wolverhampton.

Essential Requirements
  • Must have SC clearance or be able to obtain it.
  • UK National with a UK passport.
  • Must join the Out-Of-Hours (OOH) rota and standby.
  • Must have a full clean driving licence.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a PC field service or workshop environment.
  • Hardware skills: Diagnose, troubleshoot, support, and repair, including complex laptop repairs.
  • Accredited or willing to undergo HP & Dell desktop and laptop training.
Responsibilities
  1. Manage queue tickets assigned to their Hub and surrounding spokes, ensuring updates and call management to maintain service levels as per contract.
  2. Manage hub stock and assets, including scanning items in and out of locations.
  3. Handle disposals through their Hub according to contract specifications.
  4. Perform hardware repairs on in-warranty equipment and liaise with vendors for parts and returns.
  5. Replenish lockers as appropriate.
  6. Identify potential issues and suggest service improvements to the Team Leader.
  7. Follow all agreed processes and procedures, including site regulations.
