IT Development Director

Our client, a global Insurance organisation, is seeking an IT Development Director to oversee all of their internal and external application development activities.

This strategic role will also manage processes to drive their agile methodology across Development, Security, Infrastructure and Architecture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee all application development activities, including application support teams.
2. Work with Business Relationship Directors and leadership team peers to define end-to-end development and demand management processes that ensure clarity and improved efficiencies.
3. Manage an application development budget of approximately £5m.
4. Manage Development managers, production support managers, team leaders, developers, scrum teams, and third-party vendors.
5. Define a technical vision and strategic roadmap for the application technology estate.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

1. Proficient in application technology across multiple areas, with a solid background in IT management and team leadership.
2. Experience managing teams and third-party vendors.
3. Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and related tools.
