Job summary

Northern is seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst on a fixed-term basis to drive transformation across the organisation. You will analyse business needs, map processes, and collaborate with Project Managers, Solution Architects and IT teams to define effective solutions that deliver measurable business benefits.

The role requires strong requirements elicitation, experience in complex environments, and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Experience in business transformation and change.
• Experience in complex business/tech environments.
• Strong requirements elicitation and process analysis skills.
• Experience developing As-Is/To-Be processes and business cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Education: A Level and/or degree.
• BCS/IIBA or equivalent BA qualification, or significant equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead BA activities across projects, programmes and transformation initiatives.
• Elicit, analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Map As-Is and To-Be processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support business cases with costs, benefits, risks and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and IT teams on options.
• Develop requirements, use cases, epics and user stories.
• Ensure traceability of requirements through delivery and outcomes.
• Support project initiation with thorough analysis.
