Job summary

MJ Quinn is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst to deliver processes and software improvements aligned with strategic goals. You will analyze current IT systems, gather requirements, and define BRDs and user stories for Agile projects.

The role reports to the Technology Services Director, with responsibilities spanning requirements elicitation, process mapping, documentation, testing and stakeholder communication. Located in Knowsley with a potential relocation to L24; standard benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Elicit, clarify and document business and system requirements for new processes or software features.
• Analyse current workflows and design improvements or automation opportunities.
• Translate business needs into BRDs, functional specs, user stories and use cases for Agile projects.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and analyse requirements with sponsors and users to define business needs and scope of solutions.
• Map and improve business processes; produce flow diagrams and models to visualise current vs target states.
• Define clear, actionable requirements for development teams; create BRDs, specs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate in Agile lifecycles with Product Owners and developers to refine backlog and validate features.
• Support QA and UAT to ensure solutions meet requirements and business objectives.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to capture feedback and align priorities.
