IT & AV Engineer / IT Support Engineer

£36,000 - £40,000 + Training & Development + Technical Progression + Varied Infrastructure & AV + Long-Term Stability

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire (Commutable from: Ely, Newmarket, Royston, St Ives, Huntingdon, Saffron Walden, Haverhill, Bishops Stortford)

Are you an IT Support Engineer, IT Technician or IT & AV Engineer looking for a permanent role where you'll be trusted with more than just ticket-logging, given the chance to develop your technical skills, and become a go-to person for solving complex issues in a prestigious education environment?

On offer is a secure, in-person position with a well-established Cambridge organisation, where you'll work across a broad mix of technologies spanning end-user support, Microsoft 365, core infrastructure and meeting-room AV. You'll be supported by an IT team, suppliers and wider university services, while gaining exposure to service improvement projects and best-practice delivery.

In this role you will act as an escalation point for staff and students, help ensure the helpdesk runs smoothly, and take ownership of issues through to resolution. You'll also support and maintain the wired and wireless network, servers and key services, and provide hands‑on support for projectors, digital displays and hybrid meeting technology for important events and meetings.

The Role:
