Job summary

212 Recruitment is working on behalf of a market-leading technology lifecycle management business in the UK. This hands-on role covers IT equipment processing, data erasure, diagnostics and warehouse operations, offering the opportunity to develop valuable technology skills within a specialist industry.

You will process laptops, desktops, servers and other IT devices, record equipment in internal systems and collaborate with colleagues to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in IT/computers/technology.
• Comfortable using computer systems and software.
• Basic knowledge of PC components and hardware is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process laptops, desktops, servers and other IT equipment.
• Securely erase data using specialist software and processes.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and basic fault finding.
• Navigate BIOS settings and configure systems.
• Record and track equipment using internal systems.
• Grade devices based on condition and functionality.
• Prepare equipment for refurbishment, resale or recycling.
• Support warehouse operations and stock movements as needed.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Processing laptops, desktops, servers and other IT equipment.
• Securely erasing data using specialist software and industry-approved processes.
• Performing hardware diagnostics and basic fault finding.
• Navigating BIOS settings and configuring systems.
• Recording and tracking equipment using internal systems.
• Grading devices based on condition and functionality.
• Preparing equipment for refurbishment, resale or recycling.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure customer projects and service levels are achieved.
• Handling stock movements and supporting warehouse operations where required.

What We're Looking For:

• A genuine interest in IT, computers or technology.
• Comfortable using computer systems and software.
• Basic knowledge of PC components and hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Previous experience within electronics, refurbishment, repair, warehouse or production environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
