Job description

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading tech for good business as an IT Application Analyst, supporting a modern, Azure-focused application estate and helping build a secure, scalable, and cloud-first IT ecosystem. You'll work closely with senior IT colleagues, influence system design, and play a key role in optimising, automating, and enhancing business-critical applications across the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and document the current application stack, with a focus on transitioning from legacy/on-prem systems to Azure-based solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and enhancement across applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the wider Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions using scripting and coding (e.g. PowerShell, C#), improving efficiency and reducing manual processes.
  • Configure and support applications to maximise business value, ensuring strong data interoperability across both Microsoft and bespoke systems.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with third-party vendors to deliver solutions.
  • Support the establishment of regression testing frameworks and structured release cycles across applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT Governance to define data and system design principles, supporting the organisation's cloud and architecture maturity.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an outward-facing application support or analyst role, ideally within cloud-first environments.
  • Strong experience working with Azure-based applications and services (not purely on-premise systems).
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, C#, or similar), with the ability to modify and enhance application code.
  • Experience supporting ERP solutions, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.) and integration with wider application ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience working across a mix of Microsoft and bespoke applications.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and building consistent, well-documented testing environments.
Benefits
  • Permanent role with strong career development opportunities within a growing IT team.
  • Exposure to modern, Azure-based applications and enterprise systems.
  • Opportunity to shape automation, architecture, and application strategy.
  • Collaborative environment focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
