We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically capable IT and Systems Support Officer to join our small, dynamic team supporting around 50 users on a Windows-based network.
This hands-on role offers exposure to a wide range of IT disciplines, with a primary focus on infrastructure support and maintenance. You’ll be a key player in delivering efficient, reliable IT services, contributing to continuous improvement across the business.
We’re looking for someone with solid technical knowledge, particularly in networks, PCs, and business software (especially Excel), and a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges. Initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to get involved across the board are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for all IT infrastructure, systems, hardware, and software.
- Manage and maintain integrations with third-party platforms such as Linnworks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the organisation.
- Liaise with external providers to manage services such as servers, telephony, and printing.
- Collaborate with developers to maintain and enhance the company website.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects, driving efficiency and cost reduction.
- Ensure effective operation of our ERP system (OrderWise) and integrated platforms (e.g., EDI, carrier systems).
- Provide support for mobile devices used by the sales team (iPads, Android).
- Generate and automate business reports using Excel and SQL.
- Monitor data integrity across systems and ensure reliable daily backups.
Person Specification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT support role.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- High level of initiative, self-motivation, and a proactive approach.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Experience supporting business ERP systems (preferably OrderWise).
- Previous experience with integrated business systems and third-party APIs.
