Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join a school in Islington, London. The role focuses on supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, particularly autism, with both academic and personal support.

Candidates should be proactive, patient and confident in helping pupils engage with lessons and achieve their full potential. Personal care may be required in line with school procedures.

Qualifications

• Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Experience working with students with SEND, especially autism, or a strong background in care and support.
• Experience in educational or care settings supporting children or adults.
• Confident in supporting students' academic progress, engagement and personal development.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Willing to provide personal care when required.
• Committed to an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students in the classroom.
• Support pupils with SEND to access learning activities and achieve individual goals.
• Encourage participation, confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Supervise pupils safely inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, activities and learning resources.
• Adapt support to meet individual students' needs and abilities.
• Work with teachers and school staff to support educational and personal development.
• Provide personal care when necessary in line with school procedures.
