Job summary

Randstad Care AS is seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker for 3-month placements across the UK island destinations (Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles). The role offers £23.00/hr umbrella with guaranteed 45+ hours per week and a relocation/logistics support package.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of care experience with a focus on personal care, medication administration, and safe moving and handling. Travel or relocation is required for the contract period.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional care experience supporting older adults (care home experience preferred).
• Competency in personal care, medication administration, and safe moving and handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centered care, including assistance with dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene in line with individual care plans.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor resident health and overall well-being.
• Utilize safe moving and handling techniques to ensure the comfort and dignity of residents.
• Maintain a secure and supportive living environment, including during lone-working periods.
