Job summary

Standguide is an employee-owned organisation providing employment, skills and support services across the UK. We are seeking an Employment Specialist to help people with mental health support needs find and sustain meaningful employment using the IPS approach.

Training will be provided, and a full driving licence is required. You will build trusting relationships, assess client needs, and connect individuals with local employers.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience supporting people with mental health or other barriers to employment.
• Ability to build respectful, trusting relationships with clients.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients with mental health support needs.
• Deliver IPS-based support and adhere to its eight principles.
• Build relationships with clients and employers to identify opportunities.
• Support clients with job searches, CVs, applications and interview prep.
• Develop action plans and provide ongoing in-work support.
