Job summary

Intuitive Thinking Skills is seeking an IPS Employment Specialist to support individuals in community drug and alcohol treatment in securing paid employment. You will manage a caseload of up to 25, provide job development and ongoing support, and work with clinical teams to embed employment in recovery.

The role requires strong one-to-one coaching, resilience, and excellent relationship-building skills to access opportunities in the local labour market.

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of working with people in recovery.
• Experience of working one-to-one, offering motivation and support.
• Empathy with people in recovery.
• Ability to build relationships with referral partners, employers and service users.
• Resilience and adaptability in a challenging environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A passion for making a difference in peoples’ lives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 25 people in community treatment seeking paid employment.
• Develop relationships with local employers to create opportunities in the hidden labour market.
• Provide job development and job search activities aligned to client interests.
• Offer ongoing support to enable retention of employment after placement.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to integrate IPS employment support into recovery.
