Job summary

Aspire Recruitment in Wirral is seeking an experienced Employability Service Manager to lead delivery of an IPS programme across the Wirral, developing Employment Specialists and ensuring outcomes for people facing barriers to employment.

The role requires leading teams, managing performance, working with commissioners and NHS partners, and maintaining high service standards; a DBS check may be required and ownership of a vehicle is expected to travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Employment Specialists and similar employability teams.
• Track record of achieving performance targets within IPS or welfare-to-work programmes.
• Experience working with commissioners and NHS partners.
• Knowledge of supporting individuals with health conditions or disabilities into employment.
• Ability to drive KPI performance and staff engagement.
• Experience managing quality, compliance and contractual requirements.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across the region with own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Employment Specialists to deliver outstanding employment outcomes.
• Manage performance against contractual targets, KPIs, service standards and IPS Fidelity.
• Support individuals with health conditions, disabilities and other barriers into employment.
• Build strong relationships with commissioners, NHS teams, referral partners and local stakeholders.
• Drive a high-performance culture through coaching, quality reviews and performance management.
• Monitor service quality, customer experience and continuous improvement activity.
• Manage operational delivery, financial performance and contractual compliance.
• Provide performance reports and service updates to senior stakeholders.
