Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join a pensions and life insurance specialist to build a centralized investment data platform.

The role focuses on automating ingestion, cleaning, and distribution of asset data across Risk, Actuarial, and Investment teams, while designing robust data architecture and reporting capabilities. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive data analytics improvements.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in data engineering, with strong Python coding skills.
• Strong understanding of the Databricks ecosystem and automated data-centric services; Snowflake experience is a plus.
• Clear, confident communicator able to engage senior stakeholders and technical colleagues.
• Background in Financial Services (Banking, Investment Management, Insurance) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the data architecture for the new platform.
• Automate data ingestion, cleaning, quality control and distribution processes.
• Define reports and outputs and collaborate with teams to refine analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Work with senior stakeholders to optimise data analysis and reporting across Risk, Actuarial and Investment units.
