Mercer’s Investment Solutions International Client Team is seeking a candidate who has a strong level of investment knowledge and experience, ideally with a focus on Alternatives. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

What can you expect:

An exciting opportunity to join one of Mercer’s largest and most rapidly-growing business areas – investment solutions. As part of our Investment Solutions International Client Team, the successful candidate will support Mercer’s investment solutions client base across Europe, UK, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

The candidate will work closely with our Alternative Investment Solutions team to support the delivery of our private market solutions and advice to clients.

We will rely on you to:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Mercer’s private market fund structures and solutions in order to explain and communicate to colleagues and clients.
  • Support the communication and delivery of our latest thinking on private market asset classes and portfolio construction activities to clients
  • Prepare client updates including performance reviews, commitment plans as well as informational slides on private market asset classes
  • Develop and curate content for investor communications, including newsletters, reports, and presentations, ensuring clarity and relevance.
  • Liaise with wider operational, portfolio management and consulting teams across Mercer, including management of a wide range of projects as they arise.
  • Drive forward projects aimed at enhancing the client experience and streamlining processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Lead the Investor Retention Program: Spearhead the investor retention (re-up) program, implementing strategies to nurture and sustain long-term relationships with our valued investors.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum two years investment consulting or investment management experience in a client-supporting role
  • While not required, private markets experience would be welcomed
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to work in a dynamic high performing team, supporting your team colleagues while driving and managing your own tasks and projects
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional, disciplined and proactive approach to work
