Job summary

Mattioli Woods plc is seeking an Investment Analyst to support UK equity research and contribute to asset allocation and investment strategy. You will report to the Fund Manager and collaborate with the Investment Research and Asset Allocation teams.

The role requires 5+ years in investment management or research, strong market understanding, and advanced Excel with Bloomberg/Refinitiv/Morningstar experience. Hybrid London role with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in investment management or investment research.
• Strong understanding of financial markets.
• Experience in equity and fund manager selection, portfolio oversight or asset allocation.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with investment systems (Bloomberg/Refinitiv/MMorningstar).
• CISI Level 4 or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Research equities using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Conduct due diligence and contribute to asset allocation and investment strategy.
• Support investment selection, portfolio construction and ongoing oversight.
• Write research reports and present findings to investment teams and stakeholders.
• Use investment research, portfolio management and risk systems, and sometimes lead improvements to them.
