Job summary

Huntress - Crawley, on behalf of our client, invites applications for an Investment Analyst role in the Investment Management team. The position offers hybrid working after training and a salary of 25,000 to 30,000 depending on experience.

You'll develop knowledge across fund research, investment analysis and portfolio management, working with experienced professionals and gaining exposure to a broad range of markets.

Qualifications

  • IMC qualified, or studying toward it, or keen to pursue it.
  • Around 1 year of experience in investment analysis or financial services.
  • A genuine interest in investments and financial markets.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Calm, organised under pressure with strong communication across levels.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Investment team with fund research and analysis to enhance model portfolios.
  • Research asset classes including OEICs, Unit Trusts, ITs, ETFs, Model Portfolios and DFMs.
  • Produce market commentary and performance analysis.
  • Prepare formal research reports for the Investment Committee.
  • Administer across investment platforms and support day-to-day activity.
  • Monitor financial news and share insights with the team.
  • Respond to client queries and assist with investment administration.
  • Use investment research software and maintain data accuracy.

INVESTMENT ANALYST

Our client, a leading UK professional network, is looking for a Investment Analyst to join their Investment Management team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their investment career who is looking to develop their knowledge and gain valuable hands‑on experience across fund research, investment analysis and portfolio management. You'll work closely with experienced investment professionals and gain exposure to a broad range of investments and financial markets.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the Investment team and senior leadership with fund research and analysis to help enhance model portfolios
  • Researching a broad range of asset classes, including OEICs, Unit Trusts, Investment Trusts, ETFs, Model Portfolios, DFMs and Life & Pension funds
  • Producing market commentary and performance analysis
  • Preparing formal research reports for presentation to the internal Investment Committee
  • Carrying out administration across investment platforms and supporting day‑to‑day investment activity
  • Monitoring financial news and market developments and sharing relevant insights with the team
  • Responding to client queries and providing support with investment administration
  • Using investment research software and maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date data

What we're looking for:

  • IMC qualified, studying towards the qualification, or genuinely interested in working towards it
  • Around 1 year's experience in investment analysis, financial services or a similar role
  • A genuine interest in investments and financial markets
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • The ability to interpret performance information and communicate findings clearly, including to senior stakeholders
  • A calm and organised approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to communicate across all levels
