Job summary

GXO is seeking an Inventory Team Leader for our VMO2 contract at a busy shared user site in Wellingborough. You will lead inventory processes, ensure accurate stock control, and work with the Inventory Manager to drive operational excellence.

The role requires strong Excel and WMS experience, and a track record of leading teams in a warehouse setting. It is a full-time position with an 5-out-of-7 shift pattern, 10:00–18:00, in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Proven experience with warehouse management systems (DLX/Red Prairie preferred).
• Strong inventory/stock control knowledge in a warehouse setting.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear, effective daily communication with colleagues and management.

Responsibilities

• Support in delivering SLAs and KPIs aligned with contract requirements, flagging risks.
• Create, improve, and maintain logs, files, spreadsheets, and SOPs.
• Align orders with WMS data and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Manage cycle counts and oversee manual orders.
• Assist with stock and finance investigations, audits, and data collection.
• Take on special projects and provide statistics/reports as required.
