Job summary

Reed is seeking a Stores Person to manage receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, ensuring inventory accuracy and safe, organised warehouse conditions. The role covers picking, packing and regular stock checks, contributing to efficient distribution and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a stores/warehouse/stock control environment.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy and experience using stock systems.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and book in deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage, quantity discrepancies, and quality issues.
• Store products safely and accurately within designated locations.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stock audits.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with training.
• Load and unload vehicles where required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Support colleagues and assist with general warehouse duties as required.
