Job summary

Pertemps Basingstoke is partnering with an established manufacturing business in Alton to recruit an experienced Stores Person. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and developing team.

You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, recording, and dispatching stock, with ERP/MRP systems experience, and the potential for forklift work. Based in Alton, Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm, salary £30,000–£32,000 depending on experience, with 20 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous stores or logistics experience.
• Proficiency with ERP/ MRP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem solving mindset with ability to work under pressure.
• Forklift experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries against purchase order and delivery notes.
• Accurately record deliveries in inventory system.
• Organise and maintain stock location and conduct regular stock checks.
• Issue stock and materials to internal departments.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer or supplier orders for dispatch.
• Arrange shipments with approved carriers.
• Report stock shortages, damages or non conforming materials.
