Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a reliable Stores / Material Controller to manage receipt, storage, and distribution of materials on site in Farnborough. The role operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a pay rate of £14-£15 per hour.

The successful candidate will maintain stock records and ensure safety in handling materials. The position requires previous stores or warehouse experience, good organisational skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores, warehouse, or material control role
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel / stock systems preferred)
• Understanding of health & safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and record incoming materials and deliveries
• Store materials safely and in an organised manner
• Issue materials and equipment to site teams as required
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control systems
• Carry out regular stock checks and audits
• Ensure materials are stored in line with health & safety procedures
• Coordinate with suppliers, engineers, and project teams
• Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies
• Keep stores area clean, safe, and well organised
