Job summary

Singapore Recreation Club is seeking a Stock Receiving Staff to handle the receipt, inspection, labeling and storage of incoming goods in a central receiving area in Lee-on-the-Solent. You will ensure quality and accuracy, maintain stock records and comply with safety protocols.

The role requires attention to detail, physical fitness for lifting and standing, and the ability to work with chillers and freezers. On-site, full-time position with shift flexibility and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec or Diploma education or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in stock receiving, warehousing or inventory control is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel; accurate data entry and record-keeping.
• Physically fit to lift, handle and move stock, and to work in chiller and freezer environments.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and well-organised; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming deliveries from suppliers and drivers at the designated receiving area.
• Verify delivery documents against goods delivered, including supplier name, item description, product code, expiry date and quantity.
• Count and verify all items against the Purchase Order and Delivery Order.
• Inspect goods for damage, leakage, spoilage, defects or contamination.
• Check expiry dates, batch numbers and product labels where applicable.
• Record all received goods accurately in the inventory system or receiving log.
• Label received goods with the appropriate item code, receiving date, batch number and expiry date.
• Update stock records promptly after each delivery.
• Inform the Purchasing team of shortages, incorrect deliveries and damaged goods.
• Operate pallet jacks, trolleys, weighing scales and other equipment safely.
