Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics in Stoke-on-Trent invites an Inventory Operator to join our warehouse team. You will maintain stock accuracy, perform cycle counts and support audits to ensure service excellence for our customers.

Working Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:30 (37.5 hours), you will collaborate across warehouse, operations and customer service, using the warehouse management system and MS Office to produce reports and drive improvements while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, warehousing, or logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.
• Conducting cycle counts and stock checks.
• Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
• Supporting inventory audits and compliance activities.
• Monitoring stock movements and system transactions.
• Producing inventory reports and analysing stock data.
• Working closely with warehouse, operational, and customer service teams.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Following all health, safety, and quality procedures.
