Job summary

MOD - Navy Command is seeking an Inventory Manager - Complex Weapons for a 6-month contract. The role is hybrid and part-time, with two to three days on site per week.

The post holder will develop and maintain spares models, undertake ranging and scaling, and contribute to GFE and obsolescence planning to support operational needs. The successful candidate will work with Delivery Managers, BAE, commercial, finance and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy, affordability and alignment with

Qualifications

• Experience of inventory, supply-chain, logistics or supportability in defence or complex environments.
• Experience developing or supporting spares models, inventories or demand planning.
• Experience reviewing supplier cost assumptions and contract deliverables.
• Experience supporting GFE planning, obsolescence management or disposal activity.
• Experience with inventory data and management systems such as NAWDAS or MJDI.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and assure a spares model to support through-life requirements.
• Conduct spares ranging and scaling to determine optimal inventory levels.
• Review cost assumptions, evidence and supplier inputs for inventory.
• Support Government Furnished Equipment planning and obsolescence management.
• Plan and manage disposal routes for surplus or obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate logistics for inventory delivery, storage, issue and movement.
