A leading food manufacturer is seeking an Inventory & Distribution Manager to oversee their supply chain process in the West Midlands. You will lead a team to ensure the timely supply of materials and dispatch of products, while managing inventory levels and procurement planning. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and benefits, including 25 leave days and a bonus.

Senior Recruitment Consultant | Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning & Logistics Expert

Our client, a leading Food manufacturer is urgently looking for an Inventory & Distribution Manager to join their site in the West Midlands area, and manage their overall inbound and outbound supply chain process.

You will lead a team to ensure the adequate supply of raw materials and packaging for production; as well as overseeing the timely despatch of finished products to meet customer service levels.

On Offer:

Salary will be circa £45K to £50K + 10% Bonus
25 leave days + 8 bank holidays
The role will be based onsite in the West Midlands area.

Key responsibilities:

Manage procurement planning, production, inventory control, internal logistics and distribution to customers and third-party storage.
Maximise service levels and customer satisfaction, whilst maintaining control of inventory levels.
Manage lead times on all procurement requirements.
Lead the team ensuring they meet agreed KPI standards and manage according to budget and operational capacity.
Ensure production forecasts and promotional activity is clearly communicated to all relevant departments in a timely manner which ensures the site is adequately resourced to meet this requirement.
Monitoring stock levels and tracking products.

Candidate requirements:

A degree or relevant professional qualification.
At least 3 to 5 years Supply Chain experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated Inventory Management, Materials Planning, Stock Replenishment or Outbound Logistics management experience in a FMCG or Logistics environment.
Effective people management and leadership skills.
ERP systems experience (SAP will be advantageous)
