Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln is seeking an organised Stores Assistant to help ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of goods across the hotel. You will receive deliveries, check them against orders and delivery notes, record transactions and store stock safely and accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in goods receiving or stock control is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic IT and administrative skills.
• Positive, reliable and proactive approach.
• Commitment to high standards and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and ensure goods are checked accurately against orders and delivery notes.
• Inspect deliveries to ensure products meet quality and quantity requirements.
• Record and process deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Store goods safely and correctly, following stock rotation and storage guidelines.
• Support stock control processes and inventory management activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and hotel departments regarding deliveries.
• Report discrepancies, damages or shortages promptly.
• Help maintain clean, organised and safe storage areas.
• Follow health and safety, food safety and company procedures at all times.
