Job summary

Tandem Recruitment Group is seeking a Stock Controller in Wellingborough to receive, check, store and despatch goods across multiple sites. The role requires a valid driving license and hands-on experience with stock control systems and ERP software.

You will perform inventory checks, label items, create purchase orders, and assist the Logistics team as needed, using Excel, Word and Outlook to communicate and report on stock movements.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication.
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels within the business.
• Knowledge of ERP and stock control systems.

Responsibilities

• Receipt and checking of physical goods against documentation, and processing within the stock control system.
• Catalogue and label items with storage details.
• Place inspected goods into correct locations.
• Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate list.
• Create purchase orders using stock control system and distribute to the relevant supplier.
• Keep track of outstanding purchase orders and progress with the supplier as needed.
• Carry out stock checks and cycle counts.
• Produce claim notes for incorrect quantities/goods.
• Control internal department stock movements.
• Assist in the Logistics department if cover is required.
