Job summary

Rachel Hill Resourcing is recruiting a Stock Controller for a busy warehouse in Leighton Buzzard. You will plan and manage stock procurement, monitor levels and entry of inbound stock into the WMS system, and ensure accurate inventory records.

The role is initially temporary with a view to permanent, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, £29,000 per year. Excellent communication with customers and suppliers, strong organisation and stock analysis skills are essential to keep stock rotation and locations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse management or stock control roles within logistics, or supply chain environments.
• Must be able to build effective working relationships with customers, colleagues and others.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communications, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage the procurement of stock.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring required stock is available for outbound shipments.
• Accurate and efficient entry of inbound stock into WMS.
• Ensuring accurate and efficient checking of inbound deliveries and reporting discrepancies to suppliers.
• Ensuring stock is correctly located and stock rotation is maintained.
• Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
• Stock analysis when required.
• Manages day-to-day client communications.
• Provide required information and documents to clients.

Job Duties

• Plan, coordinate and manage the procurement of stock.

• Accurate and efficient entry of inbound stock into WMS
• Ensuring accurate and efficient checking of inbound deliveries, ensuring that any discrepancies are immediately reported to the supplier.
• Ensuring all stock is correctly located, and stock rotation is maintained.
• Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
• Stock analysis when required.
• Manages day-to-day client communications.
• Provide required information and documents to clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management or stock control roles within logistics, or supply chain environments.
• Must be able to build effective working relationships with work customers, colleagues/others
• Strong and effective in the areas of verbal and interpersonal communications, and time management
• Embraces excellence in customer service
• Proven work experience as a Stock Controller
• Excellent organisation skills
