Job summary

Alliance Healthcare in Northampton is seeking a Warehouse Operative to support inventory accuracy and stock-control tasks in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will work with the Inventory Team Lead to maintain records, conduct counts, process product changes, and resolve issues affecting stock and order readiness. A careful, independent approach and good Excel/Office skills are essential.

• Strong customer service focus.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory and slot data within the warehouse management system.
• Process new and discontinued product lines and update inventory records accordingly.
• Conduct stock counts in line with schedules and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Audit and process stock write-offs, batch failures, billing failures, and goods-in defaults.
• Manage product recalls, quarantine stock, damaged stock, and destruction processes.
• Carry out expiry date checks and monitor short-dated stock.
• Respond to and resolve stock-related queries from internal stakeholders.
• Support reporting, administrative tasks, and cross-functional warehouse activities as required.
