Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking an Inventory control clerk at the Hams Hall depot. The role involves cycle counting, stock control in both office and coldstore, and handling despatch paperwork. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00, with a rate of pay of £13.32 per hour.

The team emphasizes accuracy, teamwork and strong administrative skills. Applicants should have prior stock control experience, be proficient with Microsoft Office, and display excellent organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile physical and virtual inventories through cycle counts in the coldstore and office
• Locate products and verify correct product IDs, conduct regular cycle counts and assist in physical inventories
• Determine stock requirements and replenishment needs
• Manage data related to despatching and receiving stock
• Raise orders for despatch and loading
• Arrange export paperwork for stock leaving the UK
• Investigate damages, inventory adjustments and returns
• Check stock numbers, pallet IDs and references for shipping accuracy
• Handle customer bookings for deliveries and daily stock issues with customers
• Perform administrative duties and other stock-related investigations as needed

Lineage Logistics are the world’s largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics. We store, prepare, and move food-based products for a variety of customers from major retailers to schools, hospitals, and restaurants. To support customer demand, we are currently seeking an Inventory control clerk in our Hams Hall depot. Shift available: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 Rate of pay: £13.32 per hour

In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:

• Roles based in office and also within the coldstore, but don't worry, full PPE will be given to keep you warm.
• Compile and maintain records of physical and virtual product inventories via daily regular activities of cycle counting within the coldstore.
• Find product to ensure correct product ID, conduct cycle counts regularly and assist in physical inventories.
• Determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
• Manage data concerned with despatching, receiving stock into store
• Raising orders for despatching of stock for loading
• Arranging export paperwork for stock out of the UK
• Looking into damages, inventory adjustments, returns of goods
• Looking at stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorised substitutes, and other listed information with catalogues, manuals, product lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of shipping order
• Dealing with customers bookings for deliveries
• Dealing directly with customers on day to day basis regarding stock issues
• Any other stock issues and investigations / Admin duties
