We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to lead and run our Belle Eau Park facility situated in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Flexibility

As Lineage operates 24/7, flexibility is essential to this role. While the position is predominantly day shift, you will be required to work a week of late or night shifts approximately every 4-6 weeks to gain visibility across all shift patterns, support the wider operation and ensure effective management across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead all operational functions across shifts and departments, directing and supporting shift and department managers to achieve daily performance targets, uphold site standards, and follow procedures as set out in their job descriptions.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and food safety standards, completing all necessary records for internal and external audits. You will be responsible for raising awareness of our food safety systems (HACCP) and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the site.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by ensuring that all Coldstore staff operate within the company’s Health & Safety and food hygiene protocols. You'll oversee adherence to company safety codes of practice at every level.
  • Manage training, documentation, and compliance records, ensuring that training is completed, documented, and stored in line with company and industry standards. You'll play a key role in upholding quality accreditation standards such as CMI, STS, and EHO.
  • Coordinate engineering and maintenance operations by overseeing planned service activities, managing contractors and engineers on site, and utilising tools such as the 9080 job log to prioritise and schedule maintenance effectively.
  • Manage the warehouse’s operational activities including budgeting, labour scheduling, space and equipment, safety and security, housekeeping, and sanitation.
  • Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Continuously improve operational procedures such as verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and moving merchandise, and maintaining warehouse inventory.
  • Plan long-range labour needs based on sales forecasts and input from management.
  • Facilitate the achievement of prescribed company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding cost, productivity, customer service, profits, and team members.
  • Analyse operational reports to identify trends and recommend solutions to management.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal departments i.e. Finance, HR, Sales, Continuous Improvement, etc.
  • Be able to build & maintain relationships with our on-site customer.
What we are looking for:
  • A confident and experienced leader with a proven track record in identifying, analysing, and resolving operational challenges efficiently.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale operations, ideally in environments that include automation or temperature-controlled logistics.
  • Experience in leading, developing, and motivating large teams, preferably with experience as a second-line manager.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to manage inventory, workflows, and reporting.
  • Strong background in logistics, warehousing, and distribution, with a deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Evidence of successful people management, including performance improvement, conflict resolution, and team engagement.
  • High level of IT literacy with the ability to manage compliance systems and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organisation.
What's in it for me?
  • A permanent opportunity with a direct employer; we will not employ you through an agency.
  • Opportunity to develop a career within an industry leading global company.
  • Access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), offering confidential counselling and professional advice to support emotional well-being.
