Job summary

Lineage Logistics are the world's largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics. We are seeking an Inventory control clerk at our Hams Hall depot in the UK to support stock control and despatch activity.

You will perform cycle counts, verify product IDs, manage inventory data, and liaise with customers on stock issues, with PPE provided for coldstore work and a Monday–Friday shift.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of stock control.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisation and administration skills.
• Confident communicator.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts in the coldstore and office, with PPE provided.
• Identify products and ensure correct product IDs; assist with inventories.
• Determine stock replenishment needs and adjust records accordingly.
• Manage despatch data and receive stock into the store.
• Raise orders for despatch and arrange export paperwork for UK stock.
• Investigate damages, inventory adjustments and returns.
• Verify stock numbers, pallet IDs and catalog references for accuracy.
• Handle customer bookings and stock-related queries on a day-to-day basis.
• Carry out other stock-related issues and admin duties as required.

Job description

Lineage Logistics are the world's largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics.

We store, prepare, and move food-based products for a variety of customers from major retailers to schools, hospitals, and restaurants.

To support customer demand, we are currently seeking an Inventory control clerk in our Hams Hall depot.

Shift available: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00

Rate of pay: £13.32 per hour

In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:

• Roles based in office and also within the coldstore, but don't worry, full PPE will be given to keep you warm.
• Compile and maintain records of physical and virtual product inventories via daily regular activities of cycle counting within the coldstore.
• Find product to ensure correct product ID, conduct cycle counts regularly and assist in physical inventories.
• Determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
• Manage data concerned with despatching, receiving stock into store
• Raising orders for despatching of stock for loading
• Arranging export paperwork for stock out of the UK
• Looking into damages, inventory adjustments, returns of goods
• Looking at stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorised substitutes, and other listed information with catalogues, manuals, product lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of shipping order
• Dealing with customers bookings for deliveries
• Dealing directly with customers on day to day basis regarding stock issues
• Any other stock issues and investigations / Admin duties

Who we're looking for:

• Previous experience of stock control
• Computer literate, i.e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages
• Excellent organisation and administration skills
• Confident communicator
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work within a team
