Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Holmewood is recruiting a Stock Optimisation Clerk to monitor stock, optimise picking routes and improve productivity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will work closely with a key customer, analyse data, identify inefficiencies and support replenishment and stock accuracy while maintaining safety standards. 1-2 years stock control experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in stock control, inventory, warehouse operations or a similar environment.
• Experience in stock optimisation or picking operations is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with stock information and data.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; proactive and adaptable team player.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock with a key customer, analysing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Analyse and optimise picking routes, locations and slotting to improve productivity.
• Review picking methods and processes to improve efficiency and reduce handling.
• Ensure pallets, totes and equipment are positioned effectively for smooth operations.
• Monitor replenishment to keep forward pick locations stocked and coordinate outside peak periods.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, supporting the key customer and wider discrepancies where needed.

You will support our growing operation, working closely with our Lineage team and one of our key customers to help optimise stock, improve efficiency and support operational performance.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous stock control, inventory or warehouse experience who has a keen eye for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and productivity within a fast-paced operation.Working hours: Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience, paid monthly.Duties and Responsibilities:In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:Work closely with a key customer to monitor stock, picking activity and operational performance, using data to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.Analyse and optimise picking routes, product locations and slotting to improve productivity, reduce unnecessary travel and ensure fast-moving products are easily accessible.Review picking methods and processes to improve efficiency, including product grouping, route planning and reducing unnecessary product handling.Ensure pallets, totes and equipment are positioned effectively, supporting the marshalling of pallets and smooth day-to-day operations.Monitor replenishment requirements to keep forward-pick locations stocked, identify stockouts and coordinate replenishment outside peak periods where possible.Investigate and support the resolution of stock discrepancies, with a particular focus on the key customer's stock, while assisting with wider discrepancies where required.Work collaboratively with warehouse, operational and customer teams to implement continuous improvements, maintain accurate records and ensure all company, regulatory and safety standards are followed.Who we're looking for:1-2 years' experience in stock control, inventory, warehouse operations or a similar environment.
