Job description

A well-known brand in Cumbria is looking to appoint a new Inventory Analyst to join their growing team. This role is based on-site at their Cumbrian manufacturing facility and is part of a large and successful PLC.

Your New Role as Inventory Analyst:
  • Managing inventory based on demand forecasts, analyzing inventory data, and ensuring the right products are available for customers
  • Creating and maintaining forecast models, incorporating BI and forecast information from internal departments
  • Reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, and evaluating forecasting results
  • Reconciling internal activities to identify discrepancies and refining models accordingly
  • Ensuring a steady supply of products to meet customer demand, liaising with relevant third parties as needed
  • Providing input to supply planning and developing inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and discontinuations
Experience & Qualifications Required:

The successful candidate should have strong analytical skills, advanced IT skills including Excel, and knowledge of demand forecasting and planning tools. Excellent report writing and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights effectively. A forward-thinking approach, good commercial acumen, and a commitment to continuous improvement are also required to support ongoing business growth.
