East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking radiographers to join a department that rotates through ED, theatre, mobiles and fluoroscopy across our busy acute site and community sites.

We offer an excellent preceptorship and induction programme to support your integration. The role includes joining a 24/7 shift pattern, with weekends, bank holidays and night shifts, all within a high standard of patient care and safe, effective radiographic practice.

• Broad range of radiographic examinations.
• Autonomous evaluation of plain film images for diagnostic suitability.

Responsabilidades

• To perform a broad range of x-ray examinations on patients commensurate with a high level of radiographic skill.
• To undertake the autonomous evaluation of plain film images for diagnostic suitability.
• Ensure a high standard of patient care, both clinical and pastoral commensurate with good practice, ensuring all aspects of the service are delivered within the departments defined quality standards.
• To maintain and promote a high quality patient focussed service.
• To review images and ensure that supplementary imaging procedures/views are considered prior to the patient departure from the department.
• To participate in the departments 24 hour, 7 day a week shift system which will include weekend, Bank Holiday and night shifts.
• Comply with the Ionising Radiation Regulation 2017, (IRR 17) and the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017, (IRMER 2017) ensuring radiation doses are kept as low as reasonable achievable in line with Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRL).
• Ensure general cleanliness and tidiness of all clinical areas including cleaning and disposal of clinical and hazardous waste.
• Awareness of Health and Safety precautions in respect of staff, patients and visitors.
