Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Sister/Charge Nurse for Interventional Cardiology in Halifax. The role supports the Band 7 Senior Sister and leads nursing teams in diagnostic and interventional cardiology, ensuring high-quality patient care and strong clinical governance.

The post requires current NMC registration, experience in cardiology, and leadership capabilities to supervise staff, coordinate daily activity in cath labs, and contribute to service improvements

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with post-basic education to meet service requirements.
Basic ECG interpretation knowledge expected.
Cath lab/pacing trained and able to work with interventional cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities

Assess patients before diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Assist with coronary angiograms and PCI; maintain sterile field.
Provide discharge education and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
