Job summary

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in Coronary Intervention to join our Cardiology Department. You will deliver consultant-led care and undertake interventional procedures across our sites.

The post offers collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, involvement in teaching, quality improvement, clinical governance and service development within North West London Integrated Care System, with access to development

Qualifications

GMC Registered with a Licence to Practice.
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Cardiology or expected within six months.
Broad based training in Cardiology and its subspecialities.
NHS experience within the last 3 years.
Evidence of implementing quality improvement.
Management qualification or current study towards it.
Evidence of effective communication with colleagues and wider stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide consultant-led care for patients with coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
Undertake coronary intervention procedures within our established interventional cardiology service.
Participate in elective and emergency cardiology services.
Contribute to inpatient and outpatient cardiology activity.
Support service development, quality improvement and innovation within the department.
Participate in departmental teaching, education and clinical governance activities.
