Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced IR and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory Modality Manager to lead interventional radiology and cardiac catheter services at Bedford.

The post holder will provide operational, professional and clinical leadership, working with radiologists, cardiologists, nurses and staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient-centred care and drive service development and innovation.

Qualifications

• BSc Radiography (Hons) or Diploma of College of Radiographers (or equivalent) and HCPC Registered.
• Postgraduate training at MSc level or equivalent.
• Certificate in cannulation.
• Management or leadership qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for IR and Cardiac Cath Lab services across Bedford sites.
• Lead delivery and development of interventional radiology and cardiac procedures.
• Provide staff training and supervision of junior staff and students.
• Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists and nursing colleagues to ensure safe, efficient patient-centred care.
