Job summary

Aspire People in Manchester is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants with a focus on interventions, catch-up support and helping pupils progress.

This role involves delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions, supporting Reading, Phonics, Writing and Maths, and feeding back to teachers. Ideal for TAs with UK primary school experience and Level 2/3 qualification; opportunities include full-time and part-time placements across Manchester schools.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 TA qualification or relevant experience.
• Recent UK primary school experience.
• Previous intervention experience.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of phonics, Reading, English and/or Maths.

Responsibilities

• Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Supporting Reading and comprehension.
• Delivering phonics and early reading support.
• Supporting Maths and numeracy.
• Helping pupils develop writing skills.
• Identifying and supporting gaps in learning.
• Adapting activities to individual needs.
• Monitoring pupil progress.
• Feeding back to teachers.
• Supporting pupils with SEND where required.
• Building confidence and independence.
