Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks a Band 8a Shared Patient Record Technical Systems Lead to manage day-to-day operation, optimisation and development of the Hertfordshire and West Essex Shared Patient Record. You will drive system enhancements, integrations, testing and technical assurance while engaging with Oracle Health Cerner and other suppliers.

The role requires substantial healthcare interoperability experience, APIs, FHIR, HL7 and GP Connect knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
• Experience in interoperability architecture, data flows and API design.
• Demonstrated leadership in technical delivery and change assurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, configuration, testing and implementation of system enhancements and integrations.
• Act as technical SME for interoperability architecture and data flows including APIs, FHIR and HL7.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents and data-quality issues.
