Job summary

Chaucer Syndicates Ltd is seeking an experienced International General Liability underwriter to support the Head of Intl GL in building a profitable delegated authority book. You will underwrite, monitor risk, and help forecast and plan for the division in a global market.

This role requires Lloyd's experience, strong broker relationships, and knowledge of international casualty lines. A hybrid, London-based position with broad exposure across markets is offered.

Qualifications

• Delegated Authority Underwriting experience.
• ACII qualified or working towards associateship.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Intl GL in writing a profitable International General Liability book focused on Delegated Authority business.
• Take responsibility for part of the International General Liability class including monitoring and oversight of Delegated Authority business.
• Support the production of a business plan for review and agreement by Divisional.
• Head input into the monthly and quarterly forecasting process for the Intl GL class.
• Underwrite in accordance with underwriting authority and the business plan.
• Seek out new business opportunities through liaison with brokers and clients.
• Review risks including slip analyses, perform rating/benchmark analyses and premium monitoring.
• Liaise with brokers and develop good working relationships with broking and support teams.
• Compliance with Lloyd's and CIC regulations and byelaws.
