Job summary

Chaucer Syndicates Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Delegated Authority Underwriter to manage a profitable International General Liability book focusing on Delegated Authority business.

You will underwrite in accordance with authority, monitor risks, develop relationships with brokers, and contribute to forecasting and business planning.

The role requires Lloyd's environment experience and strong technical skills; ACII is desirable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a Lloyd's insurance environment.
• Desirable experience in Casualty International Liability Insurance.
• Strong technical understanding of underwriting concepts and market practice.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage Delegated Authority International General Liability book.
• Monitor and oversee Delegated Authority business.
• Produce business plans and assist forecasting for Intl GL.
• Maintain premium data accuracy on systems (e.g., Charisma).
• Liaise with brokers, clients and internal teams; support risk reviews and credit control.
• Prepare reports for senior management and compliance with Lloyd's/CIC regs.
