Job summary

Hayley Dexis is seeking an Internal Sales Executive for their West Thurrock branch. You will handle customer enquiries, process orders, and act as the face of the trade counter, offering expert product knowledge.

The role requires proactive, self-motivated individuals with prior internal sales or related customer service experience. Training and development opportunities are provided, with emphasis on up-selling and value creation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MRO/Engineering products is ideal, but full training will be provided.
• Prior internal sales experience or experience within a customer service / administrative environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Self-motivated, with strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming enquiries and customer queries; process orders.
• Be the face of our trade counter, providing expert knowledge to walk-in customers.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding enquiries; prepare accurate quotations; look for upsell opportunities.

We're excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for an Internal Sales person to make a real impact based at our branch in West Thurrock.

About the Internal Sales Executive role

You'll be undertaking tasks such as responding to incoming enquiries, responding to customer queries and processing orders. Expect to be on the phone as well as being the face of our trade counter, providing expert knowledge and assistance to any walk-in customers. You'll proactively follow up on outstanding customer enquiries, prepare accurate quotations, and look for opportunities to upsell and add value.

We're looking for someone confident and proactive, who isn't afraid to get stuck into a range of tasks. You'll have prior experience in internal sales as well as ideally a background in engineering or manufacturing, but we are open to cross-over sectors. Some experience with procurement would be highly advantageous.
