Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking an experienced Painter to contribute to the provision of good quality rented housing, improve tenant satisfaction and enhance health and safety. You will handle internal and external painting in domestic and commercial settings, including stripping, wallpapering, and finishing touches with textured coatings where needed.

The ideal candidate should hold NVQ3 or C&G Advanced Craft, possess a full driving licence, and have strong customer communication skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or C&G Advanced Craft qualification required.
• Full and valid driving licence.
• Experience with communicating with customers.
• Experience in identifying faults and root causes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of internal and external painting in domestic and commercial buildings, including stripping, papering walls, ceilings, and staircases.
• Work may include textured finishes, specialist coatings, fire retardant work and mould treatments.
