Job summary

Ec&I Partners Limited, based in Wrexham, is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist façade and roofing contractor. You will support commercial management across projects, working with design, operations and the wider commercial team.

Based at the Wrexham head office with regular site visits across the North West, the role offers strong development opportunities in a busy, specialist environment and exposure to façades, cladding, roofing and aluminium systems.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Experience within facades, roofing, cladding, rainscreen or aluminium would be highly beneficial.
• Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
• Experience with valuations, variations, subcontract management and final accounts.
• The ability to travel to sites across the North West when required.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.
• Preparing, submitting and agreeing valuations, variations and applications for payment.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and financial performance.
• Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Reviewing contracts, scopes of work and commercial documentation.
• Identifying and managing variations and potential commercial risks.
• Assisting with forecasting, cost reporting and cash-flow management.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers and the wider commercial team.
• Attending project sites across the North West when required.
• Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and ensuring contractual requirements are met.

The Role

As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of a range of projects, working closely with the operational, design and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.

The role will be based from the company's Wrexham head office, with regular site visits across the North West.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Experience within facades, roofing, cladding, rainscreen or aluminium would be highly beneficial.
• Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
• Experience with valuations, variations, subcontract management and final accounts.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• A commercially minded and proactive approach.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
• A willingness to travel to sites across the North West when required.
