A well-established, independent building services consultancy based in Bristol is looking to add an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to its team.
The consultancy works across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, retail, industrial, education, healthcare, hotel and leisure, and infrastructure. Projects vary in size, from smaller refurbishments and plant replacements through to major developments valued at £50m+.
With a team of 10, the business offers a close-knit working environment where engineers have the opportunity to gain exposure, work closely with the directors, get involved in a varied range of projects and continue developing their technical skills.
This is a great opportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer looking to build on their existing experience and take on more responsibility within a consultancy environment.
You’ll be involved in the design and delivery of a varied project portfolio, working on everything from existing building surveys and plant replacements through to refurbishments, fit-outs and larger developments.
Working alongside the directors and wider engineering team, you’ll help develop mechanical designs, coordinate with other disciplines and liaise with clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
The role offers a good mix of hands‑on design and project involvement, with the opportunity to take ownership of your work while continuing to learn from an experienced team.
Experience with refurbishment projects, low-carbon heating, Revit or IES VE would also be beneficial.
If you’re an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a role with varied projects, more involvement in project delivery and the chance to develop within a smaller consultancy, this could be worth exploring.
