Job summary

Urban Planters is recruiting an Interior Plant Maintenance Technician to service tropical plant displays across a wide range of businesses from the Manchester area (Chester Branch). The role is full-time and permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £26,700.

You will water, feed and control pests on live displays, replace dead or overgrown plants, and assist with installations while keeping maintenance records and adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Plant knowledge advantageous.
• Horticulture qualification desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays.
• Replacing dead or overgrown displays; maintain artificial displays.
• Assist with plant display installations and seasonal installations.
• Ensure maintenance dockets and documentation are completed.
• Comply with health and safety requirements and build supplier/customer relationships.
• Be mindful of possible sales opportunities.

Position: Interior Plant Maintenance Technician

Location:Covering Manchester based out of Chester Branch

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £26,700

Reporting To: Team Leader

The Role

Working as a Interior Plant Maintenance Technician, you will carry out maintenance of tropical plants within a wide sector of businesses, ensuring the best possible service is provided to our ever growing customer base.

Your main duties will include:

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays
• Replacing dead, dying or overgrown plant displays
• Maintain artificial plant displays
• Assist with plant display installations
• Assist with seasonal installations
• Ensure all maintenance dockets and documentation are completed
• Comply with relevant health and safety
• Building good supplier and customer relationships
• Be mindful of possible sales opportunities

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Full UK drivers licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Plant knowledge would be advantageous
• Qualification in Horticulture is desirable but is not essential
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous however full training will be provided

As part of your role, you will be required to;

• Always act in a professional manner as a representative of the organisation.

• Ensure that the clients are always completely satisfied
• Initiate suggestions to improve the organisations performance
• Complete timesheets and other paperwork and ensure all is handed in promptly
