Job summary

Urban Planters in Hounslow is seeking an Interior Maintenance Supervisor to lead a field-based team of technicians. You will supervise day-to-day activities, drive customer service excellence, and work with the Branch Operations Manager to optimise productivity and quality on client sites.

You will spend most weeks in the field, delivering Best Practices in service delivery, supporting route planning, and mentoring technicians. A UK driving licence and proven supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a Technician role
• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a working environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
• Able to work unsupervised and under pressure
• Experience in service delivery environments is advantageous but trainable

Responsibilities

• Act as direct supervisor and line manager for maintenance technicians in the branch
• Provide frontline customer engagement support to drive the business forward
• Help optimise productivity of the Technician team
• Ensure quality control measures are followed and carry out quality audits
• Support the Technical Performance Assessment process and development plans for Technicians
• Oversee procurement and ensure Technicians have necessary equipment
• Provide daily technical support and train Technicians on the frontline
• Spend at least four days a week in the field
• Lead the team in developing Best Practices for service delivery
• Support branch admins in planning routes for technicians
• Handle customer complaints with support from management
• Assist with surveys to establish accurate requirements
• Occasionally cover maintenance contractual work

We are currently seeking an Interior Maintenance Supervisor to join our dedicated team at the Hounslow branch. If you are passionate about developing staff and providing excellent customer service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Role:

This field-based team leadership role focuses on supporting the local Technicians in their day to day role and assisting your line manager in the delivery of service excellence to our customers. You will be responsible for delivering specific KPIs set out by the business, with the Branch Operations Manager remaining accountable. Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the direct supervisor and line manager for maintenance technicians in the branch.
• Providing frontline support in customer engagement to help drive the business forward.
• Assisting the Branch Operations Manager in optimising the productivity of the Technician team.
• Ensuring that quality control measures are followed and regularly checked as well as carrying out quality audits on customer sites.
• Supporting the TPA (Technical Performance Assessment) process and assisting the Branch Operations Manager in creating development plans for Technicians.
• Overseeing the procurement process and ensuring Technicians have the necessary preparations and equipment.
• Offering daily technical support and assisting with training Technicians on the frontline.
• Spending at least four days a week in the field
• Leading the team in developing and implementing 'Best Practices' for service delivery.
• Supporting branch administrators to plan and organise routes for the branch technicians.
• Handling customer complaints and queries where necessary with support of branch operations managers & local business development managers/national account managers.
• Support with surveys when required to establish accurate requirements
• On occasions you may need to cover maintenance contractual work when required

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points.
• Have demonstrated leadership skills in a working environment.
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment.
• Must have worked in a Technician role for a minimum of 1 year
• Self-motivated and an excellent problem solver
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Resilient with a positive attitude
• Ability to work unsupervised and work well under pressure
• Experience in managing within a service delivery environment would be advantageous but this is something we can offer training on
