Job summary

Delphi Care Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Interim Turnaround Manager to support a Bolton care home through a major improvement and compliance programme. Qualifications

• Experience as Interim Manager/Turnaround Manager within adult social care.
• Proven track record of improving underperforming services.
• Knowledge of Local Authority Improvement Notices, embargoes, safeguarding, or quality programmes.
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to implement quality assurance systems and evidence improvement.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements across the Bolton service while ensuring compliance.
• Respond to Local Authority Service Improvement Notices and evidence improvement.
• Strengthen safeguarding processes, incident reporting, and escalation procedures.
• Review staffing structures, rota management, and workforce planning.
• Audit care records, MCA documentation, nutrition monitoring, and repositioning records.
• Review medication systems and implement competency assessments.
• Deliver governance and quality assurance frameworks.
• Support regulatory action plans and provide evidence for reviews.
• Coach and develop the local management team to sustain improvements.

Delphi Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a residential care provider seeking an experienced Interim Turnaround Manager to support a care home in Bolton through a significant improvement and compliance programme.

This is a hands-on assignment for a proven turnaround specialist with experience navigating local authority improvement notices, strengthening governance, and embedding sustainable operational improvements within adult social care services.

The Opportunity

You will work directly with the provider, Registered Manager, and senior leadership team to drive improvements across the service while ensuring compliance requirements are met and evidenced effectively.

Key areas of focus include:

• Supporting the service in responding to a Local Authority Service Improvement Notice (SIN)
• Embedding and evidencing improvements across safeguarding, staffing, care planning, and governance
• Reviewing staffing structures, rota management, and dependency-based workforce planning
• Strengthening safeguarding processes, incident reporting, and escalation procedures
• Auditing and improving care records, including care plans, MCA documentation, nutritional monitoring, fluid charts, and repositioning records
• Reviewing medication systems and implementing robust competency assessment processes
• Driving delivery of governance and quality assurance frameworks
• Supporting regulatory action plans and preparing evidence for local authority and regulatory review
• Coaching and developing the existing management team to ensure improvements are sustained long term

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Previous experience as an Interim Manager, Turnaround Manager, Consultant, Registered Manager, or Regional Manager within adult social care
• A strong track record of improving underperforming services
• Experience dealing with Local Authority Improvement Notices, embargoes, safeguarding concerns, or quality improvement programmes
• Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, governance, and compliance requirements
• Experience implementing quality assurance systems and evidencing improvement outcomes
• The ability to challenge, support, and influence teams at all levels
